Design Philosophy:
These are our Grand Finales, our flagship model of our push pull designs. It is built for all the serious audiophiles who seek the finest large power tube amps. Being Pure Class A (Operation), these will drive most speakers with ease and deliver the best sonic quality above the crowd. Designed/engineered for pure Class A operations, special attention is paid to the power supply (with a separate regulate circuit to control the power for a more accurate, stable , quality supply supply to the circuit. Which yields for a much better sound , better and stable operations, and a more durable and even-wear on the tubes). All the transformers (All make in Canada) being used are proper HIFI grade, and are oversized for its operation. They are all driven by a 12AX7 and a 12BH7 in each channel, and custom finish is available for each pair being made. If you want the finest tube sound, and power. The Grand Finales are the way to go. The 6V6 tube is what we obtained for the task , its a very good sounding tube and closest to the triodes , yet it gives good power and durability that we like it alot. The 6V6 has a very low inner temperature of all tubes - and that is why they are very durable.
What’s new?
Today as of 2020, we think manual-bias amp should be in the previous chapter , as well the tube balance trim pot dials. Making this new 2020 Grand Finale design fully automatic. Just put new tubes in and viola!
We are focus using Canadian high grade transformers (there isn’t really much choices out there left too) , the Mundorf ZN caps , and using 6V6 tubes. We can trim off alot unused circuits and options on the previous generation , that were made available accommodations for use of other brands of parts and transformers. Making this new design alot more direct and short-path distance.
Like other new models under our brand - An extra stage of power regulation (stabilization) was an option (due to cost / time of labour) , and now it became mandatory. Thru out the years - what make us alive, what make us expanding, what make us getting repeat customers - is the quality we can afford to offer , we can go further than large manufactures who cant. Power Output : 40W - 50W Before Distortion (60W Max / Musical Power) - Power output varies, depending brand and model of transformers being used. Each unique pair has its own measured power thru brand / model of transformers desired to be used. The brand, and age of tubes (or even the time of the day) , can make up a few watts of difference when measuring the amplifier.
